The Year I Finally Stopped Ignoring My Stress – And How IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback Helped Me Reclaim My Calm
For me, last year wasn’t about resolutions, it was about survival.
Looking back now, I can say honestly: last year was the year everything finally came crashing down.
I thought I was good at recognizing my stress signals. I believed I understood my body. I assumed I could manage things the way I always had – pushing through, staying busy, powering forward, medication. But my body had a very different message for me.
It was like every cell was carrying stress. My moods were all over the place. I tried everything I knew: meditation, tapping, walking, medication, and supplements, nothing touched it. Then my gut joined the conversation. My IBS went through the roof. And then came the panic attacks – something I had never experienced before.
Sweaty palms. Racing heart. Dizziness. That overwhelming sense of doom that makes you feel like something terrible is about to happen, even when nothing is.
When I look back at that year now, the signs were there all along. But my “just power through” attitude wouldn’t let me listen. I kept overriding my body… until it almost became too late.
Somewhere in the back of my mind, a quiet voice kept tugging at me:
“You need different help.”
So, 2025 became the year I stopped ignoring the signs and started listening.
As I reflect on my life, I can see a pattern – God has always placed the right people in my path at exactly the right time. And an IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback (MCN) provider turned out to be exactly what my mind and body needed.
I noticed changes almost immediately.
The very next day, the knot that had lived in my stomach for over a year was gone. As treatment continued, my panic attacks disappeared completely. Slowly, steadily, I began to feel like myself again.
Now, in 2026, I look back and barely recognize that anxious, sickly version of me. IASIS MCN didn’t just restore calm to my mind — it restored calm to my entire body.
And that changed everything.
What I experienced personally is supported by research in the field of neurofeedback and neuroregulation. In a study by Feusner et al. (2012), researchers found that low-energy neurofeedback systems were associated with reductions in anxiety and improvements in mood, suggesting that gentle neurostimulation can help calm overactive brain networks rather than overstimulating them.
Similarly, Hammond (2007) reported that neurofeedback has been shown to be an effective intervention for anxiety and affective disorders by helping the brain shift out of chronic stress patterns and into more regulated states. Rather than forcing the brain to change, neurofeedback supports the brain’s own ability to self-correct.
Further supporting this, Thompson & Thompson (2015) described EEG-based neuroregulation as a method that promotes emotional stabilization and improved nervous-system regulation, particularly for individuals whose brains have been stuck in fight-or-flight mode for extended periods of time.
This is why IASIS MCN felt different to me. The ultra-low microstimulation doesn’t overwhelm the system – it gives the brain a gentle nudge, allowing it to reset, reorganize, and find balance again. For a nervous system that has been under stress for far too long, that kind of support can be life changing.
Today, as an IASIS MCN provider here in Huntsville, Texas, it is truly my prayer that this year God places me in someone’s path the way He once placed help in mine. If you’re tired of powering through, ignoring the signs, or feeling like your body has turned against you, please know this:
There is another way.
And calm is possible again.
